We are pleased to share that Victor Verduijn, PhD candidate in our research group, has been awarded the Poster Prize for Chemistry of Materials at NWO Chains 2025.
Victor received the award for his outstanding poster on the nature of plasticity in a synthetic hydrogel, in which he combined microrheology, shear rheology, and theoretical modelling to gain new insights into the material’s mechanical behavior. His work was praised for both its scientific depth and its clear, compelling presentation.
The jury highlighted the excellent quality of the poster, noting its strong visuals, well-structured explanation, and high level of scientific content.
We warmly congratulate Victor on this well-deserved recognition and are proud to see his work acknowledged at a national scientific conference.
